Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we shifted our meeting back online. We took advantage of having a meeting online, and welcomed a wonderful guest speaker who had joined us from Chicago.
The guest, who is a professional speaker/personal or corporate communications trainer, gave an inspiring speech about tips to craft world-class speeches. The speech was full of fascinating insights that we all were able to learn something to improve our speaking skills.
After the guest speech, TM S run the English table topic session for the first time, and provided topics about interesting food we’ve had in the past.
For Japanese session, TM K provided her ice break speech, but she’s been joining Toastmasters many years, therefore her speech was well structured and powerful.
Thanks to TM S who served as TOD, the meeting was facilitated smoothly, and everyone, including guests, was able to had a chance to speak.
Such a great meeting with engaging members and guests.

7月18日の例会は新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響により、再びオンラインでの開催となりました。オンラインの利点を活かし、シカゴ在住でプロフェッショナルスピーカー及びコミュニケーショントレーナーとしてご活躍されている方をゲストにお招きし、「世界で通用するスピーチの作り方」をテーマにスピーチを披露して頂きました。初心者から上級者まで参考にできるヒントが多く、会員のみでなく、ゲストの方にとっても参考になる内容でした。
テーブルトピックスセッションでは日本語、英語ともにゲストからもユニークなアイデアや体験談を聞くことができ、たくさんの笑いと学びがありました。
