Basking in blissful spring sunshine, we opened our 407th meeting in Azabu with TM M steering the proceedings as Toastmaster of the Day. We were thrilled to welcome three guests—thank you for spending your afternoon with us!

The “Good & New” session warmed everyone up: one member reflected on an exhilarating, if demanding, first month after graduation, while another shared highlights from an epic journey through ten countries packed with eye-opening moments.

Our prepared-speech slot featured TM N, who spoke with contagious enthusiasm about his latest passion. The vivid details he offered left many of us eager to give it a try ourselves.

Table Topics followed, led for the first time by TM T. We rose to the challenge of travel-themed prompts: What’s your must-visit spot in Japan? Are you a minute-by-minute planner or a carefree wanderer? Do you favor group tours or solo adventures? The spontaneous answers were as varied as our members.
In the evaluation segment, TM Sp delivered focused, encouraging feedback on the prepared speech. TM O kept us on schedule, TM Y tallied every “um,” “ah,” and pause-filler we uttered, and TM Su tracked standout phrases and grammatical errors. Wrapping up, General Evaluator TM R saluted the unsung heroes who keep each meeting running smoothly.

Our next gathering will be a special joint meeting with Kamakura Toastmasters Club—held in English—on May 17.
