■第267回通常例会(2019年12月21日)レポート■
It was the very final meeting in 2019.
The meeting began with the workshop of Moment of Truth. The question the workshop presenter, TM EI, gave us was radical and profound; “How can we make our club better?” All participants including our guests dig out the areas of improvement and brainstormed action plans.
The latter half was English session. The question, “how to make the club even better?” run through the next session, and helped us to have a remarkably productive meeting. The brilliant job by TME TA and all the helpers deserve special mention. TME TA established comfortably positive atmosphere in the meeting, and proceeded the meeting with his humors. All the helpers explained the roles demonstrating the good and bad examples, which proved the impact of time management, filler words and grammar mistakes.
The Omotesando Bilingual Toastmasters Club doesn’t possess charismatic speakers, but it does possess centripetal force to attract people. It is because of each member, who is trying to learn effective communication by practicing and making mistakes. Their sincere efforts always moved witnesses. Why don’t you join us?
２０１９年最後の通常例会でした。
例会はTM EIによるMoment of TruthのWorkshopに始まりました。「どうしたらこのクラブをさらに良くできるだろうか？」という純粋な問いかけに反応し、グループに分かれて問題を明確にして対応策を考えていきました。このうちのいくつかは今後実施されることでしょう。
「どうしたらさらに良くできるか？」という問いかけは、後半の英語セッション中も、参加者全員の心にありました。少しでも楽しみ、少しでも学び取り、少しでも多くを練習しようとする姿勢が皆さんに見られました。特筆すべきは、TMEを努めたTM TA、またヘルパーの皆さんです。どういう話し方が効果的か、やって見せてくれたことで、理解が深まりました。
表参道バイリンガルトーストマスターズクラブにはカリスマ的スピーカーなどがいるわけではありません。ただ、メンバー１人１人に、少しでも多く楽しみ、少しでも多く学び、少しでも多く挑戦しようとする姿勢があるのみです。この真摯な姿勢はゲストとして来られたあなたの意欲もさらに高めてくれるでしょう。ぜひ一度、見学してみませんか？
