On August 5th, we hosted our 358th Meeting in Omotesando. We had the pleasure of welcoming 4 honourable guests and hosting the induction ceremony for our new Toastmaster, TM W. Our experienced Toastmaster S facilitated our meeting as Toastmaster of the Day. We had two prepared speakers for the meeting. Our first speaker was our honourable guest M who shared some comparisons between working cultures for women in Japan and in the United States that she has noticed from her experiences in the two countries. Her speech was given in Japanese, which will be used as part of the lecture that she will be giving at a university. Our second speaker was veteran Toastmaster TM M, who gave a speech about what he has noticed about the culture differences between Japan and other countries. It was inspiring to listen to these two experienced speakers. We had a fun table topics session hosted by TM T. He has been attending many of our meetings in the past as a table topics master online and it was great to welcome him as a guest on-site. His table topics session is always fun to participate, making us all engaged. After TM S gave a well structured general evaluation about the meeting, we ended our meeting just on time. Our next meeting will be hosted on Saturday 19th August and this will be in Japanese; if you are interested in our club please join us! See you at our next meeting.
